Seto Sushi 4.05/5

Seto Sushi Homepage

While in Vancouver (Richmond) both Mr. Pink and Mr. Blue decided to try out a local sushi restaurant called Seto Sushi. We had been here before for dinner, however, it has been a while since then. We came with a group of friends so we were able to see and try many more dishes than if it were just us two.

We had in order:

Gyoza
Assorted Sakura Sushi
Assorted Sashimi
Oyako Don (Egg and Chicken)
Negi Toro roll (Tuna + Green Onion)
Chopped Scallop Roll
House Roll (Salmon, Crab, Avocado, Prawn Tempura, Green Bean

The Gyoza was very crispy, was pan fried just right, and were easy to break apart. Next up was the assorted Sakura sushi which was a delightful snack but not very filling for 5 people. Then came the assorted sashimi which was spectacular. Freshly sliced salmon, tuna, octopus, hamachi, surf clam, and more was very tasty. We ordered a bowl of Oyako don which is chicken and egg on rice. The rice was cooked very well, not mushy or crunchy, just right... and always mixes well with egg and chicken. The oyako don was followed quickly by the negi toro roll (tuna and green onion roll) and chopped scallop roll. Both sets of sushi were very soft and tasty, much better than the assorted sakura sushi. And finishing it all up was the house roll - this was the best roll of the meal and we highly recommend it. It was not only filling, tasty, and well prepared... but it is also well priced for such a large roll.

Our only two complaints about the restaurant is the long wait times for food and the food is a bit pricier than we`d like. That being said the food is higher quality and fairly consistent.
